Who We Serve

We support smallholder farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and community enterprises in rural and peri-urban areas where clean, reliable energy can unlock new opportunities.

Our customers, who usually manage five to 50 hectares of land in sun-rich regions, are looking to increase productivity, lower energy costs, and farm more regeneratively.

We work with communities that are ready to grow—those with the skills, workforce, and vision to build a better future. A key focus of our work is to equip young people with the tools to run, own, and improve these energy systems, thereby creating jobs and long-term impact.

Our Values

Community First

We believe locally-led development is the most efficient and enduring way to effect real and lasting change. YPV has put community impact at the core of its model, and we forge partnerships that are trust-based and fully reciprocal. Everything starts and stays at the first mile.

Justice & Equity

We are dedicated to a just energy transition that leaves no one behind. We are fighting for a future where the benefits of clean, affordable energy are shared by all, not just a select few. This isn’t about charity; it's about fairness, and it's the only way to truly tackle climate change for generations to come.

Curiousity & Optimism

We are driven by curiosity and a passion for embracing new ideas and technologies to continuously improve our impact. We are especially excited by the promise of solar agrivoltaics to improve food security and youth opportunities.

Transparency

We operate with openness. This includes making our information accessible, owning our mistakes, sharing what we learn along the way, and being clear about how we measure our impact.

The Power of a Generation

Young people are our secret weapon. We are integrating them into our work from the very beginning, giving them the skills and opportunities to lead the way to a sustainable future. The apprentices of today will be running the show in 20 years—or sooner!
