What We Do
Youth Power Ventures (YPV), we believe the social impact is what truly changes the world. YPV is an impact-first social enterprise founded to ensure that the renewable energy transition doesn't leave rural communities behind.
Our mission is to build modular agrivoltaic parks—typically under 50 hectares—that act as a "virtuous cycle" for the community.

-
Engage and Identify: From community consultations, youth mapping, to land screening for solar and crops.
-
Feasibility and Investment Readiness: From concept design, permitting, to financing readiness.
-
Construction and Youth Training: Agrivoltaic systems built while youth are trained as technicians and operators.
-
Operations and Co-Management: Long term operations led by local teams, shadowed by youth in paid technical and management roles.
-
Revenue and Community Reinvestment: Energy revenues reinvested into the community for food security, education, and agribusiness.
Powering a Generation
One of the greatest challenges facing rural areas today is "forced economic migration"—the trend of young people leaving their homes because they see no future in farming. YPV changes this by creating dignified green jobs. Our agrivoltaic parks serve as training grounds where youth learn everything from advanced solar maintenance to regenerative farming and AI-driven precision agriculture.
Crucially, these roles offer what traditional farming often cannot: predictable income, technical career pathways, access to modern tools, and a sense of long-term economic security. Young people are incentivized to stay because they can build skilled professions at home, participate in cutting-edge climate solutions, and see a clear trajectory from trainee to technician, entrepreneur, or cooperative leader. Farming is no longer perceived as subsistence, but as a future-facing, technology-enabled livelihood with social status and financial upside.
We aren't just building infrastructure; we are building a future where young people are the owners and operators of their own energy assets.

-
It Starts with the Land: We assess land suitability for both solar infrastructure and agricultural productivity, including crop selection, water access, soil health, and climate resilience.
-
We Listen and Design Together: YPV brings integrated expertise across solar engineering, agronomy, and crop systems and the experience to structure public-private partnerships that enable scalable deployment. We design agrivoltaic layouts that optimize panel configuration, crop performance, and farmer income rather than prioritizing energy alone.
-
We Build for the Long Term: YPV structures projects, aligns partners, and oversees implementation from concept to operation, ensuring long-term viability for both energy and agriculture.
-
And the Cycle Continues: Every 20MW build is financially sustainable from the outset. More than that, every solar park, surrounded by the prosperity our model delivers community-wide, inspires “envy” from neighboring villages, which drives further demand.
Who we serve
The majority of the world’s poor are farmers. They stand at the intersection of food security, climate change, and basic livelihoods – representing an unprecedented opportunity for tackling global hunger and poverty. YPV aims to capture this opportunity by scaling our virtuous cycle business model across LATAM and sub-Saharan Africa.

By integrating clean energy with agriculture, workforce development, and local ownership, we help communities “harvest the sun twice”, once for clean power and once for food and employment. In doing so, communities drive their own transformation.
